Finally Here…in Texas

Laser TV has finally arrived, in San Antonio, Texas at least.  A kind reader tipped us off to an very early review from thetechlounge guys at the Laservue World Premier from Bjorn’s.

Our experience with Mitsubishi’s newest tech was great, but we’re reserving judgment until we do some in-depth testing with some different source material and in a more suitable viewing environment to get a better idea of real-world performance.”

Hmmm… maybe I need to drive to San Antonio (2.5 hours away) and take a look. I live in Houston. I think that it is odd that they would chose San Antonio over Houston (soon to be the 3rd largest city in the US) or LA or NY or Chicago. At least they didn’t pick Dallas (which is 4.5 hours away and smaller than San Antonio) ;)

Well Bjorn’s is a pretty high end, top of the line video store, back in the day they were one of the first places to sell a DVD player and use to have a huge LaserDisc market. Not to mention their 10.2 custom built home theater, that you just won’t believe until you feel it. You should check it out, cause you won’t want to leave.

Does anyone know if there is a list of high end stores in Texas? Anything close to Amarillo?

    Hey Stephen

I´m very interesed in this tech because I hate the scaling techniques in LCD TVs, I hope that LaserTV is able to show low resolution like CRT used to do.

When you test it, can tell me how low res works with LaserTV?

    Thanks ;)
