Mitsubishi 3D TV at CES 2010

Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America, Inc. will showcase the flexibility and versatility of its 3D-ready TV products by displaying 3D content delivered by various video sources, including Blu-Ray players at CES 2010 in the “Experience 3D Tech Zone”. Mitsubishi has also announced a new 3D adapter which will provide Mitsubishi 3D-ready Home Theater TV owners with an easy and affordable solution to display 3D from a 3D Blu-Ray player. The Mitsubishi 3DC-1000 3D adapter will be available in late spring of 2010. MDEA will be located in CES booth #14548, Central Hall.

“As a pioneer in the 3D television market, Mitsubishi is bridging the gap for consumers to experience this break-through technology,” said Frank DeMartin, vice president of marketing, Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America. “3D is definitely a large screen experience, and Mitsubishi offers the most models and largest screen sizes of 3D-ready TVs available today, including one of the world’s largest, mass-produced 3D-ready TV’s at 82 inches.”

At CES, Mitsubishi will be rolling in its massive and impressive 53-foot Mobile Marketing Showroom (MMS) into the “Experience 3D Tech Zone”. The MMS will provide a 1000-square-foot showroom showcasing a wide variety of new 3D content displayed on both LaserVue(TM) and Home Theater TVs. 3D entertainment will be demonstrated on a laser-powered television, using a 65″ LaserVue TV and MDEA’s Home Theater TV product line will be displaying cross-platform content on its 60″, 73″ and 82″ televisions.

How lame is Mitsubishi Marketing? CES 2010 is over and I have not heard a single editorial, newcast, or simply a advertisement about Laser Television. It’s been over a year since this product has been released to the public and I still can’t find a local retailer to demo this up close. I could understand had I lived in podunk USA but I live in a city with over one million people. Every time I mention this TV to people, they are clueless to what I am talking about. Does Mitsubishi want this product to fail, because they are doing a great job at it. They lost my $5K for 2 LCD screens (65″,52″). They better do something soon because Samsung is definately kicking there butts in flat panel display sales and tech. I think Frank DeMartin and company have their heads up the asses when it comes to promoting technology.

The Fremont Fry’s has a Mitsubishi Laser TV on display. It was going for about $5k if it’s the same one. I saw it in December, when I was looking at their LED TVs.

Probably they should focus more on actually releasing SOMETHING on the european market instead of talking much about new uber-cool stuff.

I still haven’t seen any LaserVue here in Germany. Kinda annoying reading about all that “wow we can do this and that and blah”.

Who cares ? Can’t buy your shit anyway. -.-

@ #3 newb, Well now it is March. This is Mitsubishi’s chance to get my business. My 9 year old TV is going bad. I want a new big screen DLP TV or similar that is 73 inches or 82 inches. I want it to be able to display 3D from 3D blu rays in FULL HD. I actually wanted to buy their 2009 model but am stopped because it is not in full HD. Using a converter they supply later I should be able to view 3D from blue ray on it. But again, not in full HD, but 1/2 that resolution. So looks like I need a new 2010 3D set. But it’s March and they are not out. Also it seems no one else makes an affordable 82 inch set like Mits does. Samsung sure doesn’t. So I wish they’d hurry it up!
