i’m also in Australia & would like to find out if laservue will be coming to Australia as I would rather buy laservue over plasma or lcd.

Norman, I don’t personally know about Australia, but I did find this puzzling statement: “However, a Mitsubishi Electric Australia spokesperson said not even the LaserVue was due to arrive in Australia, due to the company’s exit from the consumer television market.”

John, LaserVue will be delivered to Mitsubishi Diamond retailers in the third quarter of 2008. Mitsubishi will introduce 63-inch and 73-inch screen sizes, with the 73-inch version available later this year around Christmas. All LaserVue DLPs will be 3D ready.

I am planning on buying a Mitsubishi’s WD 73833 which is “3D ready” but if a 73″ LASERVUE will be available by Christmas and will also be “3D ready” I will wait. Is there any way I can find out please ?

I can’t wait for the release of a next-gen TV. OLED TVs still aren’t ready for proper retail sale. SED TVs have apparently have fallen by the wayside.
