Ever since I first heard about Laservue I have found out as much as I could which soon amounted to very little. The hype is just that and each webpage you go to is just a reworking of a very thin amount of information. Lies seem to be the order of the day when it comes to this TV. It has never released when it said it was going to be, it is absurdly pricey when it was stated it would be very competitive and its been released in 1 country. The rumours about production problems are rife. Production is on then off. This TV sounds like Mitsubishi Cars, the repair men love them.I had convinced 5 other friends to wait for LaserVue and not go after Plasma or LCD. Guess what I couldn't give a rats arse about the Laser now, I am off to get a Samsung LED, at least they know what marketing is all about.... SUPPLY. If Mitsubishi think they can wait for 3D and then attack the market, wake up, that is a recipe for failure. For god sake, how quickly people forget about the VHS BETA mess..... the best didn't win there. Museums are full of bright ideas that didn't make it. Mitsubishi you need to get some at the helm that can see past the end of his nose. You do not get market share by keeping your customers waiting. I am wondering if the whole concept was way premature and basically just does not work. I do not intend to one of what I believe will be many, caught with a lemon.

This is for the Aussies. I contacted Mitsu. in October & this was still the response;

Unfortunately, the LaserVue televisions are only sold in North America, and at this time there are no plans to sell them here in Australia.

If you’d like to find out what Mitsubishi Electric displays are available in Australia, please go to the following web page:

Kind regards,

Someone said the 73" would be available around December 2008. We're still waiting and it's nearly September 2009! I've heard rumors about a 67" and 75" version supposedly this fall. Can anyone verify?

Plasma is still the way to go... A will remain so until Laser TV becomes wide-spread... Which won't be the case for the next 5 years.

Plasma, LCD Laser - WHEN will it end??????

I'm confused!

I thought that Plasma was the big thing, now I'm told that the later LCD's are better, now we have Laser TV?? And 3D TV?? This is the first time I'm hearing about 3D! Soon we can walk into the TV?

I want a new TV - but what should I get, or what should I wait for? Okay, WHAT is the next thing out and should I wait for it???
